Christian and Deborah’s Journey: Traditions, Family, and Harry Potter Magic
When we first met Deborah and Christian, they immediately shared their vision with us. Theirs was a mix of creativity, tradition, and strong family bonds, centered around a deeply moving religious ceremony. Of course, they added that unconventional nerd touch that we love so much.
How to include a nerd element in a traditional wedding?
If you want your passion to play a role without overshadowing the mood or turning it into a themed wedding, follow Christian and Deborah’s lead: they entered the reception hall to the "Yule Ball" music from Harry Potter. To us, an entrance with Harry Potter music isn’t just a stage set; it’s a piece of their story, because we don’t photograph themes, we photograph people.
Another idea? Let us find you at home wearing a Hogwarts t-shirt for a quick shot before you get dressed. Your nerdy side becomes an Easter egg that only true fans (like your photographers) will catch. It’s not a "Harry Potter wedding"; it’s the wedding of two people who appreciate Harry Potter and want their photographer to know it, respect it, and capture it with class.
The Neocatechumenal wedding rite
The ceremony of the Neocatechumenal Way is intense: about an hour and a half of songs, readings, and communal rituals. At the beginning, the groom waits for the bride halfway down the aisle, playing and singing. A spiritual encounter that truly tested us: not crying was the hardest part!
How to photograph a Neocatechumenal ceremony?
It takes at least three professionals working from multiple vantage points. These are often brief moments that must be captured quickly. Thanks to our pre-wedding meetings, we gathered all the key details to provide the best photo, video, and audio documentation, just as the couple and their family wished.
Getting ready with the family
The relationship with their families was the heartbeat of the day, from the preparations to the party. We captured specific shots to highlight this unbreakable bond, making the family an active part of the narrative.

Fun Fact: The groom is a photographer
Christian asked me for a few minutes with his own camera to portray Deborah in her wedding dress: an intimate and romantic moment that I photographed from the "outside," respecting their privacy.

A location with a view of the Strait in Calabria?
Choosing Reggio Calabria means celebrating with a breathtaking panorama overlooking the sea and Sicily. A destination wedding in Calabria offers unique vistas that make the photo shoot unforgettable.

Getting married in June in Calabria
The weather from April to mid-June is pleasant, especially in the hilly areas. Along with September and October, it is the best time for a wedding in Calabria without suffering from excessive heat.
