Your unconventional photographers throughout Italy
Distance might seem like a hard obstacle to overcome, but not for us. Just think that in the last three months alone, we have visited different cities and regions: from chaotic Milan to Ferrara, through the arcades of Bologna, the iconic Venice, the eternal city of Rome, to sunny Palermo and Catania. We are a team always on the move by car, train, ship, or plane. For Anna and Emanuele, we went to their beautiful Sicily, to two cities we saw for the very first time on the day of the photo shoot.
Couple photoshoot in Marzamemi
Marzamemi is a picturesque Sicilian fishing village, famous for its ancient Tonnara, the charming Piazza Regina Margherita, and its unique atmosphere, making it a beloved cinematic location and tourist destination. Directors like Tornatore and many others have used this place for movies and series. The colors, the light, and the square ending right at the sea make it a breathtaking location for couples and weddings.
Drimage in Ragusa Ibla
Ragusa Ibla is rich in history and beauty. Its monuments, streets, and gardens make it a truly romantic place to spend a few hours strolling with your photographer.

What are the benefits of choosing an out-of-region photographer?
When you hire a local photographer, the advantage is certainly that they know the places very well, maybe they even find unusual corners or offer you the "postcard" photo, the one everyone normally takes, making you feel a bit more "standard." Hiring an out-of-town photography team, instead, allows you to have photographs taken by someone seeing your city for the first time, with fresh eyes, finding fascinating details that you have probably never considered or never seen in the wedding photos of other local photographers. A fresh perspective could give you that unconventional touch you are looking for to avoid taking the "usual photos." We at Drimage are creatives first and foremost; therefore, new stimuli are essential for us to build new narrative structures, do unprecedented things, and photograph situations that are unusual for our daily lives. In short, breathing new air is good for both us and our creativity.

How does photographer travel work?
Just like for all normal people, and as your guests will probably do: we book the trip as early as possible to get an excellent quote and strategic accommodations. In some cases, we even arrive by car. Always consider that we arrive a day before the event, we take a tour of the places where the photos will be taken to breathe the vibe of your home, we rest to be fully charged for your best day, and the day after, without rushing, we leave.
Hiring an out-of-town photographer: pricing
You will find many variables: there are travel-friendly packages that already include all travel costs (like we do). You can also find those who calculate them separately, those who only ask for expense reimbursement (with you booking travel and accommodation), or those who will accept being hosted to cut costs. The best solution is always to ask the photography studio not only about the methods but also about the degree of flexibility.
What happens if there's a problem?
"Normal" unforeseen events like illness, an accident, or anything unexpected can happen even to the photographer next door and are solved just like a local would: by contacting a colleague to replace a team member. In this regard, we are part of ANFM (National Association of Wedding Photographers), and this allows us to rely on a network of highly skilled colleagues throughout Italy, always ready to collaborate.
